Van and Class 7 MOT Blackpool
Small vans up to 3,000kg design gross weight are tested as Class 4. Heavier light commercials between 3,000kg and 3,500kg, such as larger panel vans and pick-ups, need a Class 7 MOT, and not every test centre can do them.
Greenwood is one of the only test centres in Blackpool able to test Class 7 vehicles. We know a working van cannot sit around, so we will get you tested and back on the road quickly.

What is checked in an MOT?
The MOT makes sure your vehicle meets the legal road safety and environmental standards. Our testers check:
Lights and signals
Headlights, indicators, brake and fog lights, aim and condition.
Brakes
Performance, balance, pipes, hoses and the parking brake.
Steering and suspension
Wear, play and security of joints, arms and shock absorbers.
Tyres and wheels
Tread depth (1.6mm minimum), condition, size and type.
Seatbelts and seats
Every belt checked for condition, fitting and operation.
Body and structure
Excessive corrosion or damage and sharp edges.
Exhaust and emissions
Leaks, security, noise and the emissions test.
Visibility
Windscreen, wipers, washers and mirrors, plus horn, plates and VIN.
